About Herbert Sumlin
Herbert Sumlin promotes healthy soils farming practices through training and outreach to farmers, landowners, and the general public in California. Herbert has worked as the irrigation specialist for the Central California Irrigation Coalition where he provided technical assistance to farmers, facilitated grower workshops, and developed grant proposals. He currently owns a farming operation near Modesto, California, and for over 30 years and has experience with a diversity of crops, specifically with soil health and natural supplements. He graduated from the University of California with a degree in plant science and agronomy.
